Prayerfully answer all questions in the section below labeled "PROVIDE ALL ANSWERS BELOW."

The fourth step on the road to salvation is Conversion.

Conversion is a change of lifestyle, a deep commitment to a transformation o f character into the divine nature. David said, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me." (Psalm 51:5) This experience came as a result of the fall of man. (See Genesis chapters 2 and 3.) To please God, mankind must experience a change of nature. There must be a change from the carnal nature to the spiritual nature (Romans 7:13-25).

1. What is the true condition of the heart of mankind?

"The heart is (a) ____________________ above all things, and (b) _____________________ wicked; who can know it?"(Jeremiah

17:9).

2. The Prophet Ezekiel spoke of the transformation that will take place in the converted heart.

"I will give you a new (a) ______________________ and put a new spirit within you . . . I will take the heart of (b) __________________ out of your flesh and give you a (c)  __________________________ of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26).

3. The experience of Nicodemus is very illustrative of the process of conversion.

"Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3:5, 6)

4. What else did Jesus say we have to do?

"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are (a) _________________ and become as little children, you will by no means (b) _________________________ the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3).

5. What are the requirements for the blotting out of sins?

" (a) ____________________________ therefore and be (b) __________________________ that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19).

6. What is the result of being in Christ?

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a ________________________ creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

MY COMMITMENT

Having acknowledged my sinfulness and having repented and confessed all my sins, I now ask God to give me a clean heart and a new spirit so that I may receive power to do His will. Amen.
